MUSIC BOXES

The head of composer Daniel Corral

In 2007, Daniel Corral created the first 100 movement music box, titled Requiem for Gyorgy Ligeti.

That box has been shown in galleries all around Los Angeles, including being part of Irrational Exhibits at Bergamot Station's Track 16 Gallery. It has been also been displayed at USC's Alfred Newman Recital Hall as a part of a Faculty Concert Series featuring new player piano rolls (including a roll by Daniel Corral), at Long Beach's Soundwalk 2007, and at Sea And Space Gallery in Eagle Rock.

He has since created one more 100 movement boxes, and been commissioned to create a series of 4 movement boxes (which make great presents...).
